International Women's Day!

8th March was International Women's Day! To celebrate, join us on Facebook to share your favourite female scientist! So far, tribute has been paid to Nobel prize winners, Elizabeth Blackburn and Carol Greider, who discovered telomerase; Barbara McClintock, who won a Nobel Prize for her discovery of mobile genetic elements and Nancy Wexler, who was involved in the work to identify the gene for Huntington's disease.
